Fine Art Academy

5th grade students are studying the work of pop artist Romero Britto.  Britto is famous for creating portraits of popular celebrities.  He add bright colors and patterns in his artwork.  Students took photos of themselves and used a photo transfer technique to transfer the image from a projector to their paper.  They added patterns and colors to their self portrait in the style of Romero Britto.

The 3rd and 4th grade Talent academy is studying painting techniques and how to mix and blend colors.  Students have created monochromatic paintings using one color and black and white.  This enables students to experiments with tints, shades, and tones.  For the latest project students have experimented with blending warm colors.  They have created sunsets in a serengeti.
